Which is real? The wagon wheel or the spider shadow? They sure both look real to me. You can see and touch the wagon wheel, but you can only see the spider shadow, and only if you are looking at the right angle, and the right time of day. Does that make it less real? I think only less permanent. And by the way, everything in this world is impermant, right?
So the next time you think of yourself as a fixed body and ego, remember your shadow. Just as real. And a reminder that we are all impermanent. So what is real, is real only in the "now". Keep an open mind.
