This morning I have the song, "If I were a carpenter," stuck in my head. Don't ask me why, it's just there. I've learned not to fight it, and just sing along ;-)
Below is a version performed live by Bobby Darin, with lyrics following. After looking for a recording of the song, I came across the backstory of Bobby Darin, who performed this even though quite ill, and unfortunately, later that year, did not survive heart surgery to repair a damaged heart valve. He died at the young age of 37.
It doesn't matter what you do. It only matters that you discover who you are.
Remember your time here is limited. Let your spirit guide you, and then take flight.
And whatever you do ... let your spirit soar.
If I were a carpenter -- written by Tim Hardin
If I were a carpenter
And you were a lady
Would you marry me anyway
Would you have my baby
If a tinker were my trade
Would you still find me
Carrying the pots I'd made
Following behind me
Save my love through loneliness
Save my love for sorrows
I've given you my onliness
Come give me your tomorrows
If I worked my hands in wood
Would you still love me
Answer me babe say "yes I would
I'll put you above me"
If I were a miller
At a mill wheel grinding
Would you miss your colored blouse
Your soft shoe shining
If I were a carpenter
And you were a lady
Would you marry me anyway
Would you have my baby
Would you marry me anyway
And have my babyyyyyyyyyyyyy
- Donation: Ultimately to LiveStrong, in memory of my Mom. But really that is part of a CrowdRise donation to honor a friend of the "ordinary guy" that gave me the idea for this whole giving thing. Kinda neat.
- Exercise: Run around the Mittlerer Schlossgarten, Unterer Schlossgarten, and Rosensteinpark in the center of Stuttgart -- really beautiful. 8.5 miles (80 mins)

nice enhancement work, tying together the three elements with the pinkish color
Well, truth be told, a photo that didn't work out but was resurrected with some iPhoto processing.
But I do appreciate your feedback Pat.
